Yeah, what needs to be done to who's cars??
I'd like to spend some time on my Thing, mostly just hanging things on it getting ready to install the engine..
The dyno will be free for any club member to use, of course. _________________ Jake Raby

You can take my name off the list if there are others that need to be done first |

I have a boot ( new) on the swing axle that I can not get to stay on. this is my first swing so I could be going about it in the wrong manner. and of course I would like jake to help me get the correct jetting on my carbs |

I will be there. I just bought a 1975 Westfalia and have a lot of questions. I might even be able to bring it. If not I will ride up in my 63 Beetle. _________________ 1963 Beetle

I'm all for the carb tuning session. OK, so they are "simple" technology compared to modern EFI but they are still quite mysterious to me. I was recently gifted a NIB Weber single carb kit. Wouldn't have been my choice but it was free. I haven't even finished the install yet and I'm already getting anxious about the tuning. Jets? You fly them and I have no idea why there would be one in a fuel delivery device! Seems like overkill:-) Certainly, my bus doesn't drive like there is a jet anywhere in it!
Other than the previously mentioned items; I just want some seasoned VW guys(or Gals) to smoke over my bus(no pun intended). I assume the engine is straight out of a beetle because the front tin comes nowhere close to meeting the firewall....looks perfect for a beetle, though. General stuff like that. Help me determine what I need then I can do my part to help keep Clyde's business going strong.
On another note; at KingPins, someone mentioned having an oil cap that might replace my missing part. For all of my brain's misfiring synapses; I cannot recall who. If you know what I'm talking about...do you still have it?

Thanks, Jon. The rig I constructed to keep everything contained is functional but damn is it ugly!

Broke the trand at Silver Dollar! Not sure if it is the nose cone or the hockie stick , so I will not have a car there. Gonna try to come up for at least part of the Tech Day. That kind of depends on how work is and if I can get the trans out in time. Might be time to install a new cross shaft and nose cone. _________________ 1962 "Red Rocket" 2110 Toy
